The Ultimate Hat has been around for years, and there's a reason people keep coming back to it.

It's double-layered for extra warmth, with a simple design you can wear with the rim folded up or down. One size fits most, and the natural Wyld brown wool looks just as good on the track as it does walking around town.

Why it's called the Ultimate

This was the first hat we chose to develop when we set out to make a seriously warm wool beanie. After years of wearing, tweaking and refining it, we've got it where we want it.
It is also the boss’s favourite.

The fibre

50% Pihepe · 25% Merino · 25% Possum

Pihepe is naturally brown and undyed. Merino adds softness, and possum helps create the warmth. The overall blend has the Softloft™ that Wyld is known for.

Caring for your Wyld

Wool doesn't need washing after every wear.
Give your Wyld a good airing between wears and wash it only when it really needs it. This helps keep the fibres in good condition and means your garment lasts longer.

When it's time for a wash:

  • Cool gentle machine wash or hand wash with wool detergent.

  • Wring dry in a towel.

  • Tumble dry on a warm setting. This can help bring it back to shape.

No need to fuss. Just don't over-wash it.
