Flow chart of Bohepe processes
  • Mob of Bohepe ewe hoggets

    Bohepe

AgResearch combined 9 different breeds of wildsheep, East Freisians, Finnish Landrace, Wiltshires and Merinos to create a short tail, bare breech, low-cost, easy-care sheep.

We named these sheep Bohepe to reflect the link between their wild origin and how they are farmed wagging their tails behind them.

  • Merino sheep in a paddock

    Merino

In addition to our Bohepe (Wild Merinos) we have 25% merino wool. Merinos provides good insulation, transports moisture, and has anti-static properties; it doesn't itch, smell or crease much; it is lightweight and keeps its shape.

And it does all this in a completely natural and sustainable way.

  • Baby Alpaca in a field

    Baby Alpaca

Unlike the name suggests, baby alpaca wool is less about the age of the alpaca and more about where the baby alpaca wool comes from. The baby alpaca fiber comes from the underside of the neck.

This fineness makes baby alpaca wool all the more soft and silky than alpaca wool.
