We had the pleasure of working with Karla de Beer, Miss World New Zealand 2016 before she goes off to America in December to compete for Miss World.
Karla graduated from the University of Auckland with a double major in Psychology and English. She is interested in helping others and would like to become a clinical psychologist. She is currently working in human resources as a learning and development trainer.
Miss World looks for female role models, judging beauty, charity work, public speaking, fitness and more. The pageant will be held in Washington DC on December 20th, 2016.
Here she is wearing Roger Beatties Eyris Blue Pearls and our Weka Woo Hat and Wyld Scarf.
The Eyris pearl represents the colours of the Koru and new life, with the unfurling silver stem symbolizing the strength, protection and support a mother gives her child. Our children need an environment filled with unconditional love and support to help them believe that anything is possible. As the Koru nurtures new buds, so we must nurture our young to give them the self-belief and strength they need to create a better world for their future.
Jacek is a master jeweller who we have worked with on several charity projects for Miss World pageants. He designed and handcrafted the Koru Pearl pendant after discussion with the team at Eyris Pearls. It features a stunning Eyris Gem grade blue pearl set in a 14ct gold and sterling silver pendant.
This piece gifted by Eyris Pearls and Blue Pearls Gallery will be donated by Karla for the Miss World Children’s Charity Auction - Beauty with a Purpose – Helping Children Worldwide at the Miss World pageant in Washington DC, USA in December 2016.
